Islamabad to Lahore by Motorway or GT Road
You can travel by the M-2 Motorway or GT Road. Tell us which road you want when you book because the fare is different for each route.
The M-2 Motorway route is about 380 km and normally takes about 4 to 5 hours. The M-2 has five service areas on the way south, Chakri, Kallar Kahar, Bhera, Sial and Sukheki, roughly 60 to 80 km apart, each with food, fuel and washrooms. The toll tax for a car on the full M-2 route is PKR 1,430, and it is included in our M-2 fare.
GT Road, or N-5, is about 357 km. It takes 6 hours or more and passes through Jhelum, Kharian, Gujrat and Gujranwala. GT Road fares are lower because the motorway toll does not apply. For example, a Wagon R costs PKR 14,500 one way on GT Road compared with PKR 15,500 on the M-2.
The M-2 makes sense when you want the 4 to 5 hour motorway route. GT Road makes sense when you want the lower fare and are prepared for a trip of 6 hours or more through the cities on the N-5.

There is no separate driver allowance for this service. The journey is also not treated as a normal 12-hour city rental, so there is no 12-hour duty limit and no per-hour overtime charge on the booked trip.
Short stops on the way are included. You can stop for tea, prayers, refreshments or a washroom without an extra stop charge.
Other stops can change the fare. If you want to stop at another place, tell us where you want to stop and for how long. We quote any extra charge when you make the booking.
A change to the route or itinerary after your booking has been confirmed can also change the fare. We explain the difference before making the change.
Pets are allowed in the car for an extra PKR 3,000. Tell us when booking if you will be travelling with a pet so it can be included in your booking.
