To rent a car in Lahore without a driver, Sher Brothers offers self drive on selected cars to approved customers, from PKR 35,000 a week for a Suzuki Wagon R. The minimum booking is one week, the full rent is paid when the booking is confirmed, we deliver the car to you, and a refundable security cheque is held until the car comes back.
Because the car remains entirely under the renter’s responsibility, every booking without a driver goes through an approval process before it is confirmed. How Much Does It Cost to Rent a Car in Lahore Without Driver?
Self drive costs PKR 35,000 a week or PKR 120,000 a month for a Suzuki Wagon R or Cultus, rising to PKR 140,000 a week and PKR 600,000 a month for a Toyota Prado. A car without a driver is priced by the week and the month only, and fuel, tolls and parking are paid on top.

Prices can move with the length of the rental, where the car is going, seasonal demand and which cars are free, so the figure is confirmed when your booking is approved.
Why does a self drive car cost more than a car with a driver?
A Wagon R costs PKR 120,000 a month on self drive against PKR 100,000 with our driver on our monthly car rental page. Although you drive the car yourself, a rental without a driver carries far more responsibility and risk for the rental company. Customer verification, security procedures, GPS monitoring and the possibility of damage or misuse all add to the price.

Who Can Rent a Car Without a Driver in Lahore?
Approved customers only. You need your CNIC and a valid driving licence (overseas Pakistanis show a passport and return ticket instead of a CNIC), and before approving a booking we verify your identity and your residence, then take a refundable security cheque set by the value of the car. Meeting the basic requirements does not guarantee approval, because every application is reviewed individually by our team.
What documents are required?
Your CNIC and a valid Pakistani driving licence. Overseas Pakistanis show their passport and return ticket in place of a CNIC, with a valid driving licence issued by their country of residence. We also verify the customer’s identity and residential information, and depending on the application, additional verification or security requirements may apply.
Why do you verify my residence?
A self drive car is a valuable asset, and checking your residence confirms the details you have given us before we release the car. If the residence belongs to an immediate family member, we may carry out additional verification as part of the approval.
Why do you need a security cheque?
The security cheque is part of our vehicle security process and is required before the car is handed over. Its amount is set by the value of the car you book, so a Prado needs a larger cheque than a Wagon R. It is not an additional rental charge. It protects the car during the rental period and is returned when the car comes back.
Can Sher Brothers decline my booking?
Yes. We reserve the right to decline a booking if we are not satisfied that it is suitable for our self drive service, even when the basic requirements are met.
Why Our Self Drive Approval Process Is Different
Renting a car without a driver gives you the freedom to travel on your own schedule, but it also brings greater responsibility for both the customer and the rental company. Over the years we have learned that running a self drive service in Lahore is very different from simply handing over the keys, and many of the requirements on this page developed from real situations we have faced.
For example, we have seen rented cars handed to third parties as security for personal debts. When that happens, the rental company can lose possession of its own car and may have to go through a long legal process to recover it. Experiences like that have shaped the way we run self drive today.
Our aim is not to make booking difficult. It is to make sure both sides clearly understand their responsibilities before the journey begins, because when expectations are clear from the start, the rental usually goes well for everyone. The policies here are not there to create obstacles; they come from years of running a car rental business in Lahore.
Rules While the Car Is With You
Can someone else drive the car?
No. Only the customer approved by Sher Brothers may drive the car, unless we have given prior written approval for an additional driver. Letting an unauthorised person drive can end the rental agreement.
Is the car fitted with GPS, and can you inspect it?
Yes to both. Every self drive car carries GPS tracking for vehicle security, emergency assistance and fleet management. As the owner, Sher Brothers may also check the condition or location of the car during the rental if it is needed for operational or security reasons.
Who handles routine maintenance, such as an oil change?
If routine servicing falls due during your rental, you bring the car to our office and we carry out the scheduled maintenance. That keeps the car in good mechanical condition for the rest of your booking.
What if the car breaks down or has an accident?
Contact our office immediately. Roadside assistance is available 24/7, and depending on the situation we arrange roadside support, repairs, recovery or, where practical, a replacement car. Roadside assistance does not mean every service is free; costs are assessed by the cause of the problem and the rental agreement. After an accident, give us complete information and do not arrange repairs or make commitments on our behalf, unless immediate action is needed to protect people or comply with the law.
Are self drive cars insured?
It depends on the car. Some of our self drive cars are insured and others may not be. If your chosen car is insured, we explain the cover and its terms before the booking is confirmed. Either way, the renter stays responsible for complying with the rental agreement and for any liability the insurance does not cover.
Can Sher Brothers end the rental early?
Yes, if the agreement is breached, false information was given, the car is misused, an unauthorised person is driving, or there is any concern about the safety or security of the car.

Your CNIC and driving licence, so we can verify your identity and residence.
Once approved, pay the full rent and hand over the refundable security cheque.
We bring the car to you. The fuel level and condition are recorded at handover, and again when the car comes back.
Without Driver Car Rental in Lahore: Common Questions
Is self drive the same as renting a car without a driver?
Yes. Self drive and without driver are two names for the same service: you drive the car yourself and no driver comes with it. The prices, approval process and rules on this page apply to both.
Can I rent a car without a driver for one or two days?
No. The minimum self drive booking is one week. Our approval process is built for longer rentals, and completing customer verification, car preparation and security checks for a one or two-day booking is not practical. For a day or two, a car with our driver starts at PKR 4,000 a day.
Can I take a self drive car outside Lahore?
Yes, but only on the route agreed at booking. Inside Lahore there is no kilometre limit. If you book the car to drive to Islamabad and back, that is the booking, and taking it somewhere else instead is not covered. Tell us every city you plan to visit when you apply, so the route can be agreed.
Do you rent cars without a driver in other cities?
No. Self drive runs from Lahore only, on selected cars. In other cities, and for anyone who would rather not drive, our cars come with a driver, and the intercity and route pages list those fares. A Lahore self drive car can travel to another city on an agreed route.
Can I cancel a self drive booking?
Yes, free of charge, any time before the day your rental is due to start. Because self drive is paid in full at booking, tell us as early as you can.
Who pays traffic fines during a self drive rental?
The renter. Every traffic fine and challan issued while the car is with you is your responsibility, along with fuel, motorway tolls and parking. Outside Lahore, keep to the route agreed at booking.
Would a car with a driver suit me better?
