Yes. Sher Brothers provides self drive and without driver cars for approved customers. Every booking is reviewed individually before it is confirmed. Customers must meet our verification and approval requirements before a vehicle is handed over.
What documents are required to rent a car without a driver?
Customers must hold a valid Pakistani driving licence. Overseas Pakistanis must provide a valid driving licence issued by their country of residence. Before approving a booking, we also verify the customer’s identity and residential information. Depending on the application, additional verification or security requirements may also apply.
Why do you verify my residence before approving a booking?
A self-drive car is a valuable asset, and our verification process helps us confirm the customer’s information before handing over the car. If the residence belongs to an immediate family member, we may carry out additional verification as part of the approval process.
Why do you require a security cheque?
The security cheque is part of our vehicle security process and is required before the car is handed over. It is not an additional rental charge but a security measure that helps protect our cars during the rental period.
Can Sher Brothers decline my self-drive booking?
Yes. Meeting the basic requirements does not automatically guarantee approval. Every application is reviewed individually, and we reserve the right to decline a booking if we are not satisfied that it is suitable for our self-drive service.
What is the minimum rental period?
We normally provide self drive and without driver cars for a minimum rental period of one week.
Why don’t you rent self-drive cars for one or two days?
Our approval process is designed for longer-term rentals. Completing customer verification, car preparation, and security procedures for one- or two-day bookings is generally not practical.
Why does a self-drive car cost more than renting with a driver?
Although you’re driving the car yourself, self-drive rentals involve significantly higher responsibility and risk for the rental company. Customer verification, security procedures, GPS monitoring, and the possibility of damage or misuse all contribute to higher rental rates compared with hiring a car with a driver.
When do I have to pay the rental amount?
Rental charges are paid in advance at the time of booking confirmation.
Are your self-drive cars insured?
Insurance depends on the car and model you choose. Some of our self-drive cars are insured, while others may not be. If insurance is available for your selected car, our team will explain the coverage and any applicable terms before your booking is confirmed.
Regardless of insurance, the renter remains responsible for complying with the rental agreement and for any liabilities not covered by the insurance policy.
Do you provide 24/7 roadside assistance for self-drive cars?
Yes. Sher Brothers provides 24/7 roadside assistance for our self-drive and without driver cars throughout the rental period.
If your rental car develops a mechanical problem or you require roadside support, contact our office immediately. Depending on the situation, we’ll arrange the appropriate assistance, which may include roadside support, repairs, vehicle recovery, or, where practical, a replacement car.
Roadside assistance does not mean all services are provided free of charge. Any costs arising during the rental period will be assessed according to the cause of the problem and the terms of the rental agreement.
Can someone else drive the rental car?
No. Only the customer approved by Sher Brothers may drive the car unless we have given prior written approval for an additional driver. Allowing an unauthorised person to drive the car may result in the rental agreement being terminated.
Are your self-drive cars fitted with GPS tracking?
Yes. GPS tracking for vehicle security, emergency assistance, and fleet management.
Can Sher Brothers inspect or check the car during the rental period?
Yes. As the owner of the car, Sher Brothers may inspect or check the condition or location of the car if required for operational or security reasons.
Who pays for fuel, motorway tolls, parking charges, and traffic fines?
The renter is responsible for all traffic fines and challans incurred during the rental period. Fuel, motorway tolls, and parking charges follow the same policy explained on our Car Rental Charges & Booking Information page.
Who is responsible for routine maintenance, such as an engine oil change?
If routine servicing becomes due during your rental period, you’ll simply need to bring the car to our office so we can carry out the scheduled maintenance. This helps us ensure the car remains in good mechanical condition throughout the rental period.
What should I do if the car is involved in an accident?
Contact Sher Brothers immediately and provide complete information about the incident. Do not arrange repairs or make commitments on our behalf without first speaking to our office, unless immediate action is required to protect people or comply with the law.
Can Sher Brothers terminate the rental agreement?
Yes. We reserve the right to terminate the rental agreement if its terms are breached, false information has been provided, the car is being misused, an unauthorised person is driving the car, or there is any concern regarding the safety or security of our vehicle.
