Car Rental Charges & Booking Information
Every Sher Brothers service runs on slightly different rules. A daily rental in Lahore is not priced the same way as a one-way drop to Islamabad, and neither is priced like a limousine booked for a wedding. This page sets all of them out in one place, so nothing has to be pieced together from three separate pages.
Rates themselves are published on the service pages, because they change by car and by city. What sits here are the rules that decide what a booking finally costs.
Which Rules Apply to Your Booking
Six services, and the rules are not the same on any two of them. Find your column and read down it.

What a Daily Rental Includes, and What You Pay Separately
This table applies to daily and outstation rentals with a driver. Intercity drops, airport transfers and limousine bookings work differently — the table above shows how.

Overtime, Car by Car
Overtime starts after the twelfth hour of driver duty and is charged by the hour. It is not one flat figure across the fleet, because an hour of a Suzuki Wagon R and an hour of a G-Wagon are not the same thing.

Economy cars and sedans sit on a flat PKR 500. Every car above that band is one eighth of its own day rate per hour, rounded to the nearest PKR 500 — so you can work out any car on the list yourself from the rate you were quoted. Intercity drops and airport transfers carry no overtime at all, because you are paying for the journey rather than the day.

Advance Payments
An advance confirms the booking and takes the car off the schedule for your date. The balance is settled when the rental finishes.
- Daily, outstation, intercity and airport bookings — 25% to confirm, the balance on completion
- Self drive — paid in full at booking, alongside the refundable security cheque
- Limousine and wedding events — 50% to hold the date
A same-day booking is confirmed the same way, once a suitable car is free. Bank transfer and cash are both accepted, and every booking is invoiced with the base rate, fuel, tolls and any overtime listed line by line.
Cancellation and Changes
Cancellation terms differ by service, because what we hold back for you differs by service.
Daily, outstation, intercity and airport
- 72 hours or more before pickup — free, nothing is retained
- Between 72 and 24 hours — 50% of the advance is retained
- Under 24 hours — the advance is not refundable
Limousine and wedding events
- More than 72 hours before the event — half the advance is deducted
- Inside 72 hours — the advance is not refundable
The terms are firmer than on a daily rental for a practical reason. When a limousine booking is confirmed we stop offering that vehicle to anyone else for that date, and a cancellation two days out cannot realistically be filled. If we cannot get a replacement limousine to you in time, your advance is returned in full.
Self drive
- Free to cancel any time before the day your rental starts
Changing a booking is not cancelling it. Moving a date, or switching to a different car, is handled without a penalty wherever the fleet allows it. Call before the 24-hour mark and there is almost always a way to reschedule rather than lose the booking.
Frequently Asked Questions
Do I need to provide food for the driver?
No. On a daily rental inside Lahore the driver’s meals are our cost, not yours, and there is no food allowance to pay. On multi-day outstation hire you are responsible for his meals throughout the trip, or you can pay the PKR 2,000 overnight allowance and let him arrange his own. Intercity drops and limousine bookings carry no meal charge of any kind.
How many hours are included in one rental day?
Driver duty is a maximum of 12 hours on the same calendar date, and you choose when those hours start. Past the twelfth hour, overtime applies at the rate published for your car in the table above. An intercity drop and an airport transfer have no duty-hour limit at all, because you are paying for the journey rather than the day.
Are motorway tolls, Ring Road tolls and parking included?
On a daily or outstation rental, no. Tolls, parking and any entry ticket are paid separately, because they depend entirely on where the day takes you. On a fixed intercity drop and on an airport transfer they are already inside the fare, and on a limousine booking they are inside the event price. Nothing is added after those bookings finish.
What if my trip ends in another city?
If a daily rental finishes somewhere other than Lahore, the cost of the car and driver returning, including fuel and tolls for that leg, is charged separately. If you know from the start that you want a one-way journey, book it as a city-to-city drop instead — Lahore to Islamabad is the route customers ask about most: the fixed fare already covers the return leg, and it is usually cheaper than paying a daily rate for a car you are not using on the way back.
What happens if my trip requires an overnight stay?
On outstation travel you can either arrange the driver’s accommodation and meals yourself, or pay a PKR 2,000 overnight allowance per night and let him arrange them. On a limousine booking that takes the car out of the city, his overnight stay is already inside the quoted price.
Is tax included in the rental price?
Applicable taxes are charged where they apply and are shown on your invoice rather than folded quietly into the rate. Corporate customers who need the invoice issued against an NTN should say so at booking.
Is a security deposit required?
Not on any booking that comes with a driver. Self drive is the exception: it needs a refundable security cheque along with a valid CNIC and driving licence, because the car leaves our hands entirely.
Is there a kilometre limit?
Not on a city rental inside Lahore — you can run the car as far as the 12 hours allow with no distance charge. Outstation travel is priced per trip instead, so the distance is settled before you leave. On self drive, the limit is agreed with you at the time of booking.
